Shri Ram Naik, a statesman and dedicated social leader, has made significant contributions to the betterment of society. After serving as the Railway and Petroleum Minister, Shri Naik chose to dedicate his life to social causes. Recognizing the plight of leprosy-affected persons, he accepted the presidency of ILU.
However, upon being appointed as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh by the Prime Minister, Shri Naik relinquished his position at ILU but continued to extend his support. Despite his gubernatorial duties, he organized numerous workshops in Uttar Pradesh, shedding light on the challenges faced by leprosy-affected individuals.
Upon the completion of his gubernatorial term, Shri Naik resumed his active involvement with ILU. With his unwavering dedication, he approached esteemed dignitaries such as HON Bhagat Singh Koshyari and HON Ramesh Bais in Maharashtra. Through his tireless efforts, ILU successfully organized eight workshops in Maharashtra, with plans for further expansion.
ILU stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of its founders and supporters. Together, we strive to create a world free from the stigma of leprosy, where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. Join us in our mission to make a difference.
