This national meeting, planned by the International Leprosy Union and Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, and supported by the Nippon Foundation, Japan, was an event meant to reiterate the commitment towards the elimination of Leprosy from India by the end of the year 2005. The venue chosen was also very appropriate for this programme - Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, New Delhi, on 27th January, 2005.
